Gumdrop Cookies Recipe

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup coconut, flaked or shredded
2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 cup gumdrops cut fine
1 teaspoon vanilla 

Heat oven to 400°F.

Cream butter and sugars; add beaten eggs and blend well. Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Add coconut, oatmeal and gumdrops. Add vanilla last. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned. The cookies freeze well.
