Ingredients
- 1½ cups brown sugar
- ½ cup vinegar
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 pound ground smoked ham
- 1½ pounds ground pork
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, well-beaten
- 1 cup milk
Directions
- Combine brown sugar, vinegar, water, and mustard in a bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- In a separate bowl, combine ground ham, ground pork, bread crumbs, eggs, and milk. Mix thoroughly.
- Form meat mixture into small balls. Place meatballs in a casserole dish. Pour brown sugar mixture over meatballs.
- Bake in slow oven (275 F) for 1¼ hours. Baste frequently with sauce.
