Oatmeal-Almond Pie
Pastry for 8- or 9-inch, 1-crust pie
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup sliced almonds
2 eggs
2/3 cup melted margarine or butter
2/3 cup light Karo syrup
1/2 cup sugar
Dash salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Heat oven to 350°F. Adjust pastry in pie pan and flute edges.
Using electric mixer, combine remaining ingredients until well-blended. Pour into pie shell. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until filling is set.
Cool completely before cutting. Yields 10 servings.
