It doesn't get much better than heirloom tomatoes in summer, and spring is the time to start them from seed!

Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds will hold its 14th Annual Spring Planting Festival the weekend of May 4 and 5. You’ll have the opportunity to attend lectures on how to grow heirloom varieties of your favorite plants, seed saving, and more.

Enjoy live music and demonstrations, interact with skilled craftsmen, and even enter to win a folk music contest. It costs $5 for adults to attend the festival, and children 16 and under are allowed in for free. Go to Rare Seeds for more details and scheduled speakers.
