If you’re new to beekeeping, you’ve probably spent hours reading about how to take care of your flying livestock, from keeping them cool in summer to feeding and warming them in winter, not to mention guarding against beehive pests. Before you get there, you need to settle your new bees into their hive! Learn how to keep bees from getting crushed as you open the package, find the queen package and place her appropriately in the hive, and prepare the rest of the package for transfer.
