Uncle Sam Turns Pied Piper

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Back in the late teens of the
20th Century, domestic food supply was definitely on the Federal
Government&rsquo;s mind in the United States. This poster depicts an
Uncle Sam turned Pied Piper leading a group of children off to fight the war as
members of the School Garden Army and planting a garden. School gardens have
received some renewed attention in recent years, thanks largely to the hard work
of many private organizations.&nbsp;</p>
