A seed-saving class can give you the know-how and inspiration to start your own seed-based initiative, such as a business or seed breeding project.

CRAFTSBURY COMMON, Vermont — Strengthen your seed-saving knowledge with a six-day Seed School through Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance. The intermediate-level, hands-on course will be held at Sterling College August 5 through 10. Students can expect to become proficient in a variety of topics, including selection and evaluation, pollination, harvesting, breeding, germination, and more. There will also be paired events with relevant book authors, plant breeders, entrepreneurs in the regional seed community, and more. The course will conclude with a seed swap on Friday.
