Vinegar Pie With Spices
1?2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1?2 teaspoon powdered cloves
1?2 teaspoon allspice
1 egg
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 cup water
1 8-inch pie shell, unbaked
Heat oven to 350°F.
In mixing bowl, cream together sugar and margarine. Blend in flour, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
In small bowl, beat egg with vinegar and water. Stir into dry ingredients; mix well and set aside.
Bake pie shell for about 3 minutes. Remove from oven and pour in filling. Return to oven and bake for an additional 40 minutes, or until pie is puffy and set.
