Are you a poet? Do your feet show it? You might want to don some cowboy boots and take those Longfellows to the 28th annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering January 30 to February 4 in Elko, Nevada. Produced by the Western Folklife Center, this year’s gathering focuses on the Southwestern United States with poets and musicians from the region taking center stage. Workshops and panel discussions on regional food, culture and agriculture are also planned.

The annual event is a must-attend for thousands each year, as artists and audiences gather to preserve and celebrate the American West with cowboy poems, Western poetry and more. Visit the Western Folklife Center, for more information on the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering for both poets and audience members.
