Molasses Brownies With Nuts

Molasses Brownies Recipes

Molasses Brownies

2?3 cup butter
2?3 cup confectioner’s sugar
2?3 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 ¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1?8 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease two 9-inch square pans; set aside.

Cream butter and confectioner’s sugar until fluffy. Stir in molasses and vanilla. Beat in eggs.

Sift together flour and baking soda; add to molasses mixture, blending well. Stir in chopped nuts.

Spread batter in prepared pans, and bake for 25 minutes. Yields about 50 brownies.
