Cream Pie Recipe With Nutmeg
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour, slightly rounded
1 small pinch salt
1 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup half-and-half
1 egg white, beaten
Nutmeg
Heat oven to 300°F.
Mix together sugar, flour and salt. Add whipping cream and half-and-half. Stir well. Fold in beaten egg white.
Pour mixture into pie shell and sprinkle generously with nutmeg. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until almost set. It thickens after it gets cold. Serve cold.
