2 cups milk
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup currants
3/4 cup chopped dates
1 1/2 squares chocolate, melted
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin, softened in 1 cup cold water
1 cup sugar
Dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3 egg whites, beaten
Put milk and fruits in top of double boiler. When hot, add melted chocolate and blend.
Add softened gelatin, sugar and salt; blend well. Remove from heat when begins to thicken.
Add vanilla and nuts. Fold in beaten egg whites. Turn into mold that has been rinsed in cold water, and chill. Serve with whipped cream. Yields 12 servings.
