Christmas Plum Pudding Recipe

Serve a delicious Christmas Plum Pudding Recipe for your holiday dessert, and start a tradition.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup currants
  • 3/4 cup chopped dates
  • 1-1/2 squares chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 3 egg whites, beaten
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin, softened in 1 cup cold water

Directions

  • Put milk and fruits in top of double boiler. When hot, add melted chocolate and blend.
  • Add softened gelatin, sugar and salt; blend well. Remove from heat when begins to thicken.
  • Add vanilla and nuts. Fold in beaten egg whites. Turn into mold that has been rinsed in cold water, and chill. Serve with whipped cream.
