7-Layer Bars are difficult to resist.

Sarah Vaughan, Waterville, Maine, sends a recipe that takes the crushed-graham-cracker approach.

7-Layer Bars Recipe

1 stick butter, cut in pieces
1 cup crushed graham crackers
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup chocolate bits, semisweet or milk chocolate
1 cup butterscotch bits
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

Heat oven to 350°F.

Melt butter in 13-by-9-by-2-inch baking dish, making sure it evenly covers the bottom. Spread cracker crumbs evenly over butter. Spread oatmeal next, then chocolate bits, butterscotch bits and nuts. Drizzle canned milk over the top.
