Mahindra USA and Operation FINALLY HOME hosted its annual Warrior Weekend March 28–30 for 10 past and future home recipients. The weekend provides the wounded veterans the opportunity to fish, relax, and simply connect with fellow wounded former soldiers who continue to heal and transition to civilian life.
Operation FINALLY HOME’s Warrior Weekend sponsored by Mahindra USA is held in the spring and fall of each year to bring together veterans who are a part of the nonprofit’s program.
“This weekend trip provides Operation FINALLY HOME the opportunity to remain close with our home recipients, as well as to honor them for their service and sacrifice,” said Rusty Carroll, executive director of Operation FINALLY HOME. “This event centers around continuing the healing process for these veterans by providing them with a weekend filled with good company.”
The retreat is held at Operation FINALLY HOME founder Dan Wallrath’s ranch in Centerville, Texas, providing these veterans with the chance to engage in outdoor activities such as fishing, skeet shooting, and riding ATVs. The event is made possible by title sponsor Mahindra USA and other gracious sponsors.
“The Mahindra Pride Warrior Weekend is a tremendous event that provides an opportunity for our wounded military to relax and share their experiences with other heroes as they overcome the challenges in their lives to help them rise,” said Cleo Franklin, vice president of marketing and strategic planning for Mahindra USA. “Mahindra is honored to partner with Operation FINALLY HOME to sponsor this key event as we show our support and give thanks to these courageous people who have been injured serving our country. We are also proud to have such a passionate dealer, J5 Tractors owned by Richard Johnson, to help make this weekend special. It truly shows that in working together we can make a difference to help drive positive change in the lives of others.”
