The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) has announced that more than $160 million is available to fund grants and awards through the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) for research, education and extension projects in the food and sciences areas. The studies will help address agricultural issues in the U.S. and create solutions. Priorities include plant health and production, livestock health and production, and food safety and nutrition, among other areas of interest.
