CHAMPAIGN, Illinois – The USDA’s Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) is making available $350 million through the Wetland Reserve Easements and Agricultural Land Easements to help farmers and landowners protect and restore farmlands, grasslands and wetlands. Long-term assistance will allow landowners to maintain and protect agricultural land and wildlife habitat. Many participants have already seen a regenerative effect as wildlife populations begin to increase.
