Homemade Sausage Pizza Recipe With Olives and Onion

1 Chewy Semolina Pizza Crust Recipe
1/2 cup Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe
1/2 onion, sliced
1 to 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
2 ounces kalamata olives, pitted
2 ounces dry sausage (salami) or pepperoni, sliced thin
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 fresh basil leaves

Heat oven to 500°F. Rub olive oil over a heavy baking sheet or round pizza pan.

Using your fingers, press out dough to partially cover baking sheet (roughly an 8-by-6-inch rectangle). Brush dough with olive oil and let rest for about 15 minutes.

After dough has rested, press it out with your fingers to completely fill baking sheet; or roll out into 12-inch round and transfer to oiled pizza pan.

Spoon on tomato sauce. Layer on onions, mozzarella, olives, sausage and Parmesan.

Bake for 12 to 13 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.

Scatter fresh basil over pizza. Slide pizza off baking sheet onto a cutting board and cut into slices to serve.
