Lois Severson, Marlton, New Jersey, remembers her grandmother baking an Easter bread that contained raisins and had a thick ribbon of cottage cheese down the middle of the loaf. The cheese ribbon baked into a golden treat that tasted wonderful, she says.
Another type of Paska (in several Slovakian languages, the word means 'Easter') is also made for this holiday. It is made with cheese, eggs, sugar, cream, vanilla, almonds and currants. The mixture is molded and then served.
The following Cheese Paska recipe comes from Cooks.com.
