Honey Crisp Apples With Nutmeg Cream

Go a different route with apples than Mom's Apple Pie, try this equally delicious, most likely more healthy Apple Honey Crisp with Warm Nutmeg Cream.

This honey crisp apples with nutmeg cream is a delightful dessert choice. 

Apple Honey Crisp

2 pounds apples, quartered and sliced (about 1 1/2 quarts)
1/2 cup plus 1/4 cup honey, divided
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup flour
1/4 cup butter, softened
Warm Nutmeg Cream (recipe follows) or ice cream

Heat oven to 350°F.

In bowl, toss apples with 1/2 cup honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Turn into 2-quart baking dish.

Beat flour, butter and remaining honey until crumbly; sprinkle over apples.
