The 29th annual Western Heritage Classic takes place in Abilene, Texas.

The 29th annual Western Heritage Classic gallops into Abilene, Texas, May 9 through 11, 2013. Over three days, this internationally recognized event showcases the cowboy lifestyle at its finest. Traditional events such as a ranch rodeo, a working ranch horse competition and sale, and a chuckwagon cook-off will return to the fun-filled schedule.

The ranch rodeo attracts some of the largest U.S. ranches, and working cowboys compete to prove their expert ranch-handling skills. Dress up for a night of live entertainment and great food to kick off the weekend. Last year’s performers included Gary P. Nunn and Mark Powell & Lariat.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 27, 2013. For more information on admission and events, please call 325-677-4376, or visit Western Heritage Classic. The Taylor County Expo Center is located at 1700 Highway 36 in Abilene.
