Chuck grew up in Missouri and now lives north of Chicago after 10 years of living in the Loop. He reminisces about Grandma’s country cooking and other good food of the heartland. Some of his recipes are modern twists on old fattening favorites, and others are just the good ol’ recipes of the past. Some of the side dishes use “old-time” vegetables that many city folk ignore. Chuck has a collection of old country cookbooks, which serve as sources to develop his own variations of long-lost favorite recipes. Have the dessert already made, grill the meat, then wow your family with great side dishes. Chuck’s hobbies include genealogy and writing.
