The Domestication of Cattle Cai

By Cait Carpenter

Howdy! I’m a second-generation chicken farmer in the bustling metropolis of You’ve-never-heard-of-it, Michigan. During the day you can find me at one of my jobs shelving books, making sandwiches, or removing chicken necks, as I’m employed by exactly half of the businesses in town. Friday nights I’m living it up with my cats on the couch with cake and milk watching 30 Rock reruns. When I’m not doing any of these fabulously exciting things, I’m coaching our local FFA members or leading a 4-H meeting. I’m currently sort-of kind-of attending community college with the intent to someday have a certificate in Agriculture Studies, whatever that is. Somewhere there is a rich, unsuspecting man in a beard with a cowboy hat carrying around my future last name.
