030 Splizzors
In a recent field-test, the
Splizzors, Buck’s new multi-purpose fishing tool turned heads while
effortlessly cutting braided line and
removing hooks and lures from a multitude of fish. The Splizzors will make
their official debut at ICAST.
The Splizzors innovative
design efficiently combines the use of scissors and pliers to create a
versatile tool even for the most rugged of fishing tasks. Utilizing the
concepts of BASS Elite anglers Bill Lowen and Brandon Palaniuk, along with Mark Davis of Big Water Adventures TV show,
the Buck product development team designed a tool that through extensive field
testing by a variety of experienced
anglers has been developed into the ultimate fishing product. The Splizzors use
edge to edge pressure 10X that of normal scissors. The replaceable blades
contain micro serrations to cut braided and high performance fishing line with
ease. The stainless steel blades and frame are constructed of 420HC steel, with
an overall length of 8 1/2″ and a total weight of 8.3 ounces.
The long nose plier design
allows for deep hook extraction with dexterity.
Tested to exhaustion, the plier tip dimensions are perfect for
manipulating the smallest drop shot hooks to the heaviest flipping hooks in any
fish mouth. Utilizing the Splizzors for
hook and lure manipulation means more time for casting and catching!
The Splizzors also integrate
a large and small crimping tool into the design, allowing for split-shot
crimping. They are capable of crimping sleeves on cable as well. Along with
these features, the tool utilizes a Dynaflex® rubber handle, bottle opener and
a lanyard hole. All the features,
designed into one product, pack easily in a nylon sheath for safe storage and
secure carry.
With all the features the
030 boasts, this product offers a single option to replace many other tools in
the boat. This innovative product, made in the USA and backed by Buck’s famous
Forever Warranty is a must have for all fisherman.
