Pumpkin pie is a creamy favorite for fall feasts.

Ingredients:

• 2 large eggs, beaten slightly
• 2 cups canned pure pumpkin
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup sorghum or light molasses
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
• 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 F.

2. In bowl, mix together eggs, pumpkin, sugar and sorghum. Stir in salt, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and evaporated milk, and mix well. Pour filling into unbaked pie crust.

3. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F, and continue baking for an additional 45 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

4. Cool thoroughly before cutting and serving.
