Manor Bakery Applesauce Cake Recipe

This applesauce cake contains the perfect amount of moisture. With the addition of raisins and walnuts, you cannot go wrong with this recipe.

Manor Bakery Applesauce Cake


• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup applesauce, chilled
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.

2. In large bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add applesauce, and beat well. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves. Blend in raisins and nuts.

3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes, or until done. Serve warm.
