Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Salt, to taste
- Flour, enough to make a thin batter
- Green tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- Fat, for frying
Directions
- Combine egg, sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt. Add enough flour to make a thin batter.
- Dip tomato slices in batter, and then fry in deep, hot fat. Serve hot.
