1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon melted shortening
Sift dry ingredients together.
Beat egg and add.
Add milk and shortening and stir together lightly.
Drop from teaspoon into hot fat and cook for 3-4 minutes.
