If you have never tried making your own salad dressing you have got to try it! Making your own salad dressing is very economical and can be made out of simple nutritious home grown items. One of my favorite is buttermilk and dill salad dressing. It tastes wonderful on a home grown vegetable garden salad!

Buttermilk and Dill Salad Dressing

  • 1 cup buttermilk (Make your own buttermilk.)
  • 2/3 cup salad dressing (I prefer Hellman’s.)
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tsp. salt

Whisk together buttermilk and salad dressing to thoroughly combine. Stir in dill, chives, and salt.  Cover and chill before using. Shake ingredients before each use.
