We’re up to our eyeballs around here in some remodeling and repurposing of spaces, primarily the kitchen. And having had a few unexpectedly spring-like days of late – with one day last week even touching 70 degrees for a few minutes – I’ve been thinking of where on earth I’m going to start seeds next month, and how best to reorganize the kitchen for storing, processing and just all-around enjoying this year’s harvest. Thoughts along these lines reminded me of an e-book I discovered a year or so ago that I thought I would share. It’s called “The Have-More Plan” by Ed and Carolyn Robinson and it was written in the 1940s. Among other things is a chapter about setting up a “harvest kitchen.” It’s free, if you sign up for the newsletter at Harvey’s, an online store selling homesteading supplies.
