America’s Favorite Farmers’ Markets

The 2010 contest, sponsored by American Farmland Trust, kicks off with a free webinar presented by winners of the 2009 Favorite Farmers’ Market contest.

| April 9, 2010

A free webinar kicks off the 2010 America's Favorite Farmers Markets contest, sponsored by American Farmland Trust. This year, the organization is offering a host of new prizes for market managers and customers, more tools to get larger crowds out to support your local market and more publicity for local farms and food in the United States. As the contest launch in early June draws near, AFT is hosting a series of webinars (online conferences).

The next webinar is A Word with the Winners of the 2009 America’s Favorite Farmers Markets Contest, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 13.

Joining a webinar is easy. All you need is a computer and a telephone. Sign-up to hear from last year’s winners and enjoy the opportunity to learn how they rallied their customers to be voted No. 1. Each of the winners of the 2009 America’s Favorite Farmers’ Markets contest has a unique story to tell about how they got the attention of their local media and consumers and leveraged the contest to increase support for their market.

Access follow-up materials from the first webinar, What Is in Store for Farmers Markets in 2010? at the AFT website.
