Recently I received an old newspaper clipping with the idea that tomato vines could be cut and rooted in water. The rooting could then be potted and grown inside during the winter in a sunny window for winter-time tomatoes. I had never heard of this and told the reader/sender that I would ask the Grit Blogging community to see what they had to say.
Has anybody ever heard of this, or actually tried this? What would the steps be? Will they really produce tomatoes? Let us know at mooredcr@Juno.com. I will share the answers with the readers of my "At Home" newspaper column here in Ohio.
