Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies Recipe

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 package (4-serving size) vanilla instant pudding mix
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 package (12 ounces) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Heat oven to 375°F.



In bowl, combine flour and baking soda.

In large bowl, combine butter, sugars, pudding mix and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Batter will be stiff.

Seems good, definetely gonna cook it. Could you please tell me how much is "1 package (4-serving size)" - I am not from the US. Also, how much is a "cup" in terms of grams or ounces. As I realise, brown sugar is important, isn't it? Thank you.
