Who Wants To Be My Neighbors?

Jennifer Quinnsnowy view of ranch

The big news here is, my neighbor across the creek is putting her awesome rural property up for sale. It’s $80,000 for 27 acres, with three pastures and a house that’s partially renovated, but is still basically a shell.

Here's the property description, with a couple of additional photos:

1800 square foot shell of a house, set up for 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, downstairs laundry. Electric, septic and well on property and set up to hook into city water when completed by county. Some of the items to complete the house are already purchased. Windows, roof and siding added 2010.

27+ acres, 10 acres under grass and fenced. Old barn that needs to be scrapped for lumber. Old cemetery on property. Mountain spring plumbed to lower pastures for water source. Additional small shed with stall and bay for lawn mower, well house, storage building and large chicken coop. 400+ feet creek frontage. Property was logged 15 years ago. Some good timber.

Asking $80,000

Jennifer, if I was a younger man, I'd certainly be interested. It sounds like a sweet deal for a handy person. The days of building and maintaining a homestead are over this want a be homesteader. The best I can do is vacant lot gardening in the inner city. It's a great way to spend the down hill side of life. ***** Have a great neighbor hunting day.
