The fourth annual International Heritage Breeds Week will take place May 20 through 26. The Livestock Conservancy's national campaign to promote awareness about endangered heritage breeds of poultry and livestock has grown to an international level, now involving multiple organizations around the world who partner to promote the protection of endangered breeds worldwide. The week-long campaign is an opportunity for organizations and individuals alike to advocate for the conservation of heritage breeds, with the event culminating on International Heritage Breeds Day on May 26.
