Giving Up GMOs Saved My Life And You're Worth It Too

Liberty V JusticeI have kept silent for too long.

Last year, I could barely walk or move my arms. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2010, when I began Seminary. I refused to accept such a diagnosis because I’m an athlete. I began to take matters into my own hands, and pray to God for the wisdom and power to heal so I could help others.

I started researching and paying attention to my own body. I learned about GMO’s (and other food and water supply problems) and I began to heal by eating the good, clean food. After 11 months, (seems like two years) I’m still healing.

“A growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems, environmental damage and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights. Most countries have banned the production and sale of GMOs since they’re considered unsafe for human consumption.” Non GMO Project

“In the U.S., our government has approved GMOs based on studies conducted by the same corporations that created them and profit from their sale.” Non GMO Project

GMO’s are “genetically modified organisms” (ingredients).

I totally agree with you. I've suffered from a lot of pain over the past several years and a lot of digestive issues. When I found out about GMOs and pesticides, I started changing my eating habits. I'm still recovering, but I can tell when I eat something bad for me, I get stomach cramps and my joints hurt. I've read 3 or 4 books, articles and listened to an audio book about people with the same issues and I've convinced our food is poisoning us. I started buying organic and doing away with grains. If I stick to that plan, I feel better, when I get off of it I get sick every time. Bad food is not worth dying for.

It's ok to have an opinion, and it's ok to be wrong. But to create an article that has no basis in fact, is not ok. There is no evidence that GMO's are unhealthy. In fact you get to enjoy more food options because farmers are able to grow more in the same space. And since Big Organic uses more pesticides, they could be more dangerous as they work by damaging the nervous systems of insects. I'm sure Big Organic is sending you your shill check soon (wink wink)
