German Festival in the Catskills

Attend a German festival in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.

| July/August 2013

Join a group of German-Americans for good-time music, traditional food, Schuhplattler dancers and lots more at the Hunter Mountain German Festival. The August 10 and 11 festival celebrates German heritage in the backdrop of the beautiful Catskills. You’ll learn how to polka dance, indulge in regional cuisine and drink, and maybe even learn a German word or two.

Live entertainers include Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra, Die Schlauberger, the Alex Meixner Band and The Radlpass Trio.

The fun begins at noon, Saturday, August 10. Admission is $12. Enjoy a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday, don’t miss polka mass at 11 a.m., featuring the Jimmy Sturr Orchestra.
