Name: Keba M Hitzeman

Keba Hitzeman is a woman with an armload of hats to wear – advocate, baseball fan, caregiver, chicken wrangler, daughter, farmer, fiber artist, gamer, gardener, herbalist, laborer, manager, musician, nature-lover, potter, shepherdess, teacher, wife. She grew up as a “free-range child” on the farm she currently owns, and after a hiatus for college, marriage, and teaching, she returned with her husband to Innisfree on the Stillwater. They transitioned the farm from a grass-fed and -finished beef cattle operation to sheep and goats. Two of their goals were to regenerate the conventionally farmed ground with organic farming methods, and provide habitat for native pollinators.
