Jenny Gomes

The Domestic Wildflower

By Jenny Gomes

Occupation: English teacher and mother of two small children

Place of Residence: Siskiyou County, CA

Background: As a busy mom and wife living a long way from a big-box store, Jenny saves a lot of time by canning small, quick batches of preserves and by using a steam canner. She’s a bread machine enthusiast, an online junior college English teacher, and if she had to can one recipe for the rest of her life it would be tomato sauce.

Current Projects: Jenny is working on canning without sugar, making baby blankets for friends, and writing step by step tutorials on her blog.
