Ag and Culture

I grew up in the California foothills and as a young girl avoided getting dirty, sweaty and doing “domestic duties” with the feeling that these were not valuable pursuits. My perspective has changed dramatically in regard to these activities in recent years. I am transitioning from working as a CPA in the city to an agricultural life by interning on weekends with a shepherd and exploring other farming opportunities (i.e. sheep dairy). I cook frequently, shop in season at farmers markets and natural foods co-op and enjoy trying all the culinary wonders and cultural events that Sacramento and Placer Counties have to offer.
