Beekeeper and honey bee aficionado, Anita Deeley, shares her knowledge and passion for bees on her beekeeping website BeverlyBees.com. Her website chronicles her experiences as a backyard beekeeper in Massachusetts and also includes honey recipes, instructional posts for beekeepers, facts about honeybees and honey, gardening for honeybees, reporting of local beekeeping events and more. Anita hopes to educate bee lovers, beekeepers and others with an interest in beekeeping about the importance of backyard beekeeping and help foster a deep love and understanding for the honeybee. Anita spends her free time beekeeping, capturing wayward bee swarms, attending regional beekeeping conferences and photographing bees. Her photographs have won numerous awards at local and regional honey shows. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Essex County Beekeepers Association, a member ofthe Massachusetts Beekeepers Association, Eastern Apicultural Society and the American Apitherapy Society. 

Aside from beekeeping, Anita enjoys raising chickens, organic gardening, is an avid cook and loves to can, ferment and dehydrate to preserve the harvest.
