The fourth annual Tour de Coop takes place this weekend in Fort Collins, allowing participants to visit local backyard chicken coops during a leisurely bike ride.

Fort Collins, Colorado — The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association announces the 4th annual Tour de Coop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, in Fort Collins. This is an opportunity for area residents to visit local backyard chicken coops through participating in a 6-mile leisurely bike ride.

Tour de Coop participants will visit a variety of urban backyard chicken coops and will learn about chickens from beak to butt from experienced backyard chicken owners. Tour de Coop highlights important elements of sustainable communities and our local food system.

The ride is limited to 40 participants, and the cost is $15 per rider. Advanced registration is required. Visit the association’s website to register.

The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association educates people and communities in the Rocky Mountain region to make healthy sustainable choices.
