Horses on the horizon
In case you are wondering, the weird looking things on the horses faces are fly masks. Not everyone knows that, and we've had many questions about them. They velcro to the horses' heads and keep the flies out of the horses' eyes. One of our horses, the Paint horse named Harley, refuses to wear a fly mask. No matter what, he finds a way to rip it off. It's a shame because the skin around one of his eyes is pink. We have to sunscreen that spot to keep it from getting sunburned. If he'd leave a fly mask on, he wouldn't get sunburned around his eye and he wouldn't have to suffer through getting the sunscreen on his face.
