A Herd of Longhorns

Colorful 2009 calendar showcases the best of the Longhorn cattle breed.

| November 7, 2008

Eighteen original color photographs grace the 2009 Texas Longhorn Celebrity Calendar. The cover shot, captured by Kay Bumguardner. shows the beautiful Ragged Mountain Range with Bear Ranch Texas Longhorn cattle on mountain meadows near Somerset, Colorado. This is the 30th annual calendar sponsored by leading Longhorn ranches of North America.

The 2009 calendar features colorful ranch scenes and portraits of prominent Longhorns and is now available for holiday gift giving. The new, printed-in-the-United-States collector's edition features photos from ranches in Michigan, Mississippi, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Colorado, Utah and Oklahoma. Internationally famous cattle such as Over Kill, Super Man, Tempter, Jamakizm, Super Fast, Winsome and Mile Marker statuesquely decorate each calendar month. These are some of the most valuable, huge horned exhibition quality cattle in the nation. Three featured bulls are the fastest horn growing bulls in Longhorn history.

The full-color laminated calendar easily encourages every wanna-be cowboy or cowgirl to plan for the day they can have their own colorful herd. The popularity of lean high protein beef and the Texas Longhorn breed has caused increased fascination for this special calendar. Western cattle admirers can cherish this collection of special photos by framing them at year's end.

For 30 years, this cattle lover's calendar has been produced and distributed worldwide. The calendar is a large 13-by19.5-inch open wall size. Past editions have been recipients of Award of Merit and World Calendar awards.
