BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA — Since 1914, The Toro Company has been helping customers beautify and preserve outdoor environments – from golf courses, sports fields, and commercial properties to yards like yours! Now any homeowner can add professional-looking stripes and patterns to their lawn while they mow with Toro’s new Lawn Striping System.
The Toro® Lawn Striping System attaches easily to most walk-behind mowers and can be used with, or without, a bagger attachment. All that’s required is a Phillips screwdriver and 16 to 20 pounds of dry sand. First, fill the Lawn Striping System roller with dry sand. Next, attach the universal bracket system to your mower with a Phillips screwdriver. Then, start mowing and striping at the same time. It’s that easy…almost!
Creating professional-looking stripes requires a bit of planning before you start – but it takes no more effort than simply mowing your lawn. To create a straight pattern, first cut around the perimeter of your yard, then, starting at a point that will generate the greatest visual impression, mow all the way across. This will create the first stripe. Turn around and mow in the other direction, using your first stripe as a guide to create the next…and so on. The weighted roller simply bends the grass, reflecting the light differently -- creating light or dark stripes as you mow.
At the same time you mow, you can create everything from simple, professional stripes to an eye-catching piece of art. A pattern guide is included with each kit to help you create more advanced patterns. View the video on www.toro.com/lawnpatterns to see how easy it is to attach and operate. Look for Toro’s lawn patterning contest -- with great prizes -- to be announced on www.facebook.com/toro.yard later this spring!
Start planning your patterned lawn today. The Toro Lawn Striping System is available at Toro dealers throughout North America, on www.shoptoro.com, and from other online or retail outlets for about $90.00 (USD).
