Step 1 With the frame pieces cut to length – six 2-by-2 72 1/4-inch (72-inch) uprights, four 2-by-2 60-inch horizontals, eight 2-by-2 16 5/8-inch (16 3/8-inch) braces, and two 2-by-2 27 7/8-inch (27 5/8-inch) bottom reinforcement stringers – mark the centers of the horizontals where they will be fastened to the center uprights.
