Old-Fashioned Pound Cake Recipe
1 pound butter
1 pound sugar
12 eggs, separated
1 pound flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons almond flavoring
Heat oven to 350°F.
Cream together butter and sugar. Add yolks slowly, beating after each addition.
Add flour, baking powder, well-beaten egg whites and almond flavoring.
Pour in greased pan. Bake for 1 hour.
