This simple but tasty burger recipe is an original recipe created by my friend Mark Laskowski. Freshly ground ginger is important to the recipe, and to the flavor.
1 pound ground beef
Juice from 1⁄2 lime, freshly squeezed
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1⁄2 cup cooked, chopped and well-drained spinach
1 egg
1⁄2 cup bread crumbs
Over medium-high heat, heat large nonstick skillet or fire up grill.
Combine all ingredients. Form meat into 4 large patties, 1-inch thick. Fry or grill 5 or 6 minutes on each side.
Try some feta cheese and/or plain yogurt as a topping for this Eastern-influenced burger.
