Recipe Box: A Sandwich Recipe in the Making
Boston Market Meatloaf
1/2 cup ketchup
1 1/2 tablespoons hickory barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
Heat oven to 400°F.
In large bowl, combine ketchup, barbecue sauce and sugar; mix well. Reserve 1/4 cup mixture. With your hands, mix together remaining sauce and remaining ingredients. Form into loaf and place in greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and drain fat from pan, then slice meatloaf while still in pan. Drizzle reserved sauce evenly over meatloaf. Bake, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes, or until cooked through. Yields 5 servings.
