Nothing refreshes like Old-School Lemonade.

When the summer sun blazes, few things refresh like an ice cold glass of lemonade, iced tea or homemade soda. Making these rejuvenating coolers is easy and many of the ingredients are already growing in your backyard garden – and the rest are in the pantry. If you’re feeling adventurous, try putting excess berries or honey to use in homemade beer and wine. If you’re an iced tea aficionado, make it the easy way  in your drip coffee maker. Just put mint, herbal blend and/or tea leaves in the clean filter basket and run normally. Looking to add a little pizzazz to that traditional lemonade? Dress it up with any number of ingredients, including berries, honey, mint, sage and other herbs. Experiment to find your favorite combination; share with your friends and watch their eyes light up. You can’t go wrong when it comes to the summertime cool down!
