“Holiday meals can get pricey,” Magnant says, “but it doesn’t have to be like that. As long as someone puts forth the effort, they can save money and still have a great gathering.”
Stratford University’s culinary arts program offers several degrees, including concentrations in baking and pastry, as well as advanced culinary arts. The school also offers non-degree public one-day culinary courses covering such topics as beginner baking, knife skills, vegetarian cooking and cake decorating, as well as parent-and-child cooking.
Stratford University opened in 1976 and operates from campuses in Tyson’s Corner, Woodbridge and Reagan National Airport. More than 250 undergraduate and 79 graduate courses are available through five 10-week sessions. Degree programs are offered on campus, as well as through distance education and online.
